Doctoral Research Focus
During my PhD, my primary focus was on forward and inverse Fluid Structure Interaction problems. This domain presented a unique opportunity to cultivate deep, cross-disciplinary expertise across a variety of highly interconnected fields:
I extensively studied flapping wing flyers and the associated nonlinear dynamical phenomena occurring due to fluid-structure interactions across different flight regimes. While my primary testbeds were flapping wings, the mathematical and computational methods developed are highly extensible—applicable to microfluidic medical devices, vibrating chimneys, wind energy harvesting, weather forecasting, and complex coupled dynamical systems.
